I imagine that to gain full benefit from venue contacts, caterers, etc
that have been lined up for 2013 for a possible 2014 bid, a team would
require the substantial input from the 2013 team... and that's
somewhat against the point of this exercise.
Negotiating a new set of venues would also help a new team figure out
what aspects of the conference can be cut out.
I've suggested Sydney because it'd be the easiest city to get the two
or three feet on the ground to inspect venues where necessary, and it
has an obvious set of venues (e.g. UNSW).
