Couldn't Linux Australia be registered as a trading name and continue to
be used if needed. Then under auDA rules you would be well entitled to
keep the domain.

I really like the name Linux Australia. I made a bit of a "tree change"
back in 2003 when there was an attempt to commercialise the name and I
still feel very strongly that the name belongs to the community.

Despite that I think people should keep an open mind. The name doesn't
accurately reflect the organisation. If something better is found I will
vote for it and I encourage people not to dismiss change without at
least considering all the options.

I am not keen on anything long enough to require an acronym or anything
that sounds like it was put together by a government committee. So far
that rules out a lot of the suggestions for me.
