Nothing much has progressed since Paul[0] asked this question last in
October 2010
(http://lists.linux.org.au/pipermail/linux-aus/2010-October/018327.html)
The LA Admin team is concentrating on getting the existing machines
upgraded and running stably before adding ipv6 addresses
ipv6 addressing has been available to LA since early 2009 and VPAC (who
provide our hosting) has had it operational since well before that. An
ipv6 address was allocated and used by the 2010 team on their VM, but
hardware performance issues, coupled with software versions on the
virtual machines, has meant that we haven't concentrated on getting this
operational.
