Agenda
LCA bid process
Apparently there is a bid, says twitter.
Budget progress
No discussion in Josh's absence
Drupal Down Under 2012
Sponsors are signing on.
Progress of 2010 financial audit
Is progressing. A lot of back & forth with the accountant currently. Are getting a good idea of how long this takes.
Progress of policy discussion on linux-aus
Values statement feedback
Next iteration of values document is nearly done. Will shortly send back to the list.
Compliance with Fair Trading documentation
Filing of previous years' financial statements
Have contacted previous treasurers about financial statements, but have not had responses. Will need to look up all information ourselves prior to filing documents. Deadline given by Fair Trading NSW is May 13th.
Changes to membership: review linux-aus discussion to date
Looking at either drop membership each year unless confirmed or keep unless member cancels.
This will also require MemberDB changes or another way of managing memberships.
Allow members to choose a membership model or just suggest one?
When we've chosen a membership model, write up a consitutional amendment and post that to the list for comment.
Drafting of Constitutional amendments
Mary has been working on the google doc draft constitution. She will work on putting the current consitution on the website as well.
Developing press kit
A nice todo item for a media sub-committee.
The council should define what it wants a media team to do. Write [press releases about] position documents based on relevant current events and our values statement?
What happened to the LA committee photos that were taken at LCA?
Other Business
Mike Carden remains the 2012 LCA Liason
