Hi Everyone,
lca2011 Volunteers
---------------------------
linux.conf.au is calling for volunteers to assist with the conference
in January of next year.
"lca is primarily about the FOSS community," said Shaun Nykist,
lca2011 director. "Volunteering for an lca conference is a great way
for people to give back to the community which has given us the great
software which we all use. It is also the main reason that will bring
us all together in Brisbane in January 2011."
lca2011 welcomes all those who would like to volunteer their time and
help towards the running of the conference in Brisbane. Helping at a
major conference like lca2011 can be a deeply rewarding experience and
an opportunity to meet some exceptional people. There are a number of
different volunteer roles that you can be involved in, including
administration of the registration desk, operating cameras and
audio-visual gear, and many other technical and non-technical tasks.
Anyone who would like to volunteer may now do so through the
conference website at:
http://lca2011.linux.org.au/register/volunteer
and join the volunteers mailing list at:

Early Bird Registrations
----------------------------------
As mentioned previously the close of lca2011 Early Bird Registrations
is the 8th of November, Brisbane time. Those wanting to claim their
own sweet discounted registration, have just a matter of hours, being
Monday, to purchase it while you can.
