Seek is a wretched hive of scum and villainy, also known as
recruiters. Jobs in kernel development aren't really the sort of thing
that will be posted there — Seek tends to be used for less specialised
roles. (And harvesting resumes.)

I think you're also discounting the probability that there are kernel
developers who don't do it as their full time day job.
