You know how much you care about how the Archives Act inter-relates with
the inner workings of your records retention policy? That's how much a
dude on the street cares about open standards.
We care about them, but its not a sales pitch which will convince "the
masses", who mostly just care about getting stuff done as quickly and
cheaply as possible, preferably with as many nicely rendered corners
thrown in as possible.
(Facebook is an excellent example of this. Its a combination of a crap
email app, a very limited blogging engine, and some sort of photo
sharing site. Yet its wildly popular because its simple and quick.)
So, I think such an advert would be a waste of money.
