does the phrase "skin in the game" have any relevance here?

It costs $0 to join, there's no qualification for membership, there's no 
ongoing membership demands.  LA exists or not and unless there are 
causes to be fought or issues to be supported, there's not a lot to 
engage with members, including in the election.

This is true for all organisations, particularly ones with such a broad 
church as this one.

For myself, I have voted in each election until this year and I thought, 
why bother?  So I didnt.

But thanks for asking James and incidentally who won what?
