Not sure.

Just seems serendipitous.

Three communities (hackers, bloggers and developers) that understand the 
  issues in one city at one time. A few signs at each venue, some 
petitions, a meetup - who knows. I am sure each group will be discussing it.

I can't make it unfortunately. This home-dad truly does have to think of 
the children.
