 2. {*} LCA2008 report
  A report from the LCA2008 team on progress.

  Ben Powell reports:

   * Ben has yet been unable to obtain his Westpac ID due to work
commitments. Will get one as soon as possible.
   * All venues are booked. There is an issue for the PDNS, as a result
of a change of State Governor all prior commitments are now uncertain.
An alternate venue is being search for.
   * The announcement for Call for Papers is imminent.
   * Two Keynotes are confirmed.
   * Sponsorship is progressing well. Some potential local Tasmanian
sponsors are being approached.
   * Penguin Dinner is organised, arrangements have been made for minors.
   * A dinner speaker is being organised.
   * Speaker Dinner is arranged.
   * Open Day venue has been arranged, everything else is still open.
   * Networking is being organised.
    * Will need Steve Walsh's assistance in handing over networking
knowledge.
   * Conference Mobile Phone Number is being organised.
   * Some new team members have joined:
    * Bill Bastick - logistics and assisting Garry
    * Chuck Gregory and Neil Schultz - will be engaged in very important
activities soon.

 * Discussion of any items that provide relevant information to the
council and which might generate motions for next meeting or new action
items.
