I'd love to stop by in Melbourne. Although I'm not sure if 2.Feb fits
into my itinerary. It'd be more obvious to visit Melbourne on the way
from Hobart to Sydney where I should be on Jan 30. Another round-trip
will add to the budget and that's pretty tight already.
Does it need to be that date? Given the LA funding goes through, I'm
sure we'll find a way trough Melbourne somehow.

The Linux Foundation were the first I tried, before asking FOMS and now
here. The LF apparently denied a lot of requests to fund LCA visitors.
At least I've heard about quite a few "unable to approve" messages from
them.

If you have ideas for additional funding, please let me know. At the
moment I'm freelancing and unemployed. linuxaudio.org is a non-profit
organization where freedom there extends to the point of no money at all.
