Hi all,
What: Open Source breakfast (and the breakfast is actually free as in
beer)
When: Wednesday 26 September, 8:30 am - 9:30 am.
Where: Toowong Library meeting room, Toowong Village Shopping Centre.
Sherwood Rd, Toowong, Brisbane
Who&Why:
Waugh Partners (http://waughpartners.com.au/) is touring with a "Meet
the Open Source Industry" breakfast in every capital city. This is to
promote their Census project (which you can read about on their
website already), but they want to make it useful to the whole
industry, by educating about Open Source and showing off some of our
local talent... and that means you!
So, firstly: Come along for breakfast and networking. That's always
fun. You can find out more about the Roadshow and RSVP for it on
their website:
http://waughpartners.com.au/industry/roadshow2007
If you'd like to be introduced (and give your company or product a
plug!) during the presentation, please let Pia & Jeff know that
you're in Brisbane, and send them a 1024x768 slide to display.
They're limiting this to OSIA members
so if you provide Open Source solutions/services, and you're not a
member...
JOIN OSIA TODAY! => http://www.osia.net.au/members/becoming_a_member
Open Source Industry Australia (http://osia.net.au/) membership is
just $50 a year for micro businesses, ask Arjen if you want more info
about OSIA. You can also sign up on the day and hand the form to
Arjen, that's fine.
But do come to this event, even as a non member. See you there!
Regards,
Arjen.
