Not news; an interpretation.  It's not completely dead yet, but I think 
AUUG is terminally sick.  There once was a time when if AUUG wrote to 
the Minister, he'd receive it; with active membership probably numbering 
in the many tens, I can't see it ever regaining that prominence.  Cest 
la mort.
