Read "The Case Against OOXML" about the deficiencies of OOXML spreadsheets to
be used to feed up serious data bases.

How the hell want they to feed up a bank system if they use a different
calendar than the bank system?!

A stupid spreadsheet has nothing to do with a "XML format to represent
financial transactions". Please, MS puppets, go back to school!

These guys have a hotter minds every day and don't stop inventing new stupid
arguments per hours. I suggest them to visit the patent offices instead of
ISO committees.

Saludos,
//Alberto.

PD: hehe, do you imaging an old Swiss bank, with accounts comming from
centuries ago, feeding them with OOXML spreadsheets and its "dates
features"?!
Please, Microsoft, calculate with MS-Office 2003 and OOXML the interest to pay
to a bank customer whose debt started at 1899. Ding! Start now! ;oD
(This situation is quite typical when a bank error is detected or in court
proceedings about money in banks...)
