The Canberra Careers Market was a great success.
Thank you to those who offered their assistance, particularly David
Symons, Mike Carden, Paul Wayper, Jason Neilson, Matthew Oliver and
Tarrant Marshall. I greatly appreciate it. Pizza for you guys at the
next CLUG meeting is on me.
By my estimates we gave away at least 1000 Linux CDs and some 400 Open
CDs with accompanying pamphlets explaining what free software was all about.
The response was very positive. About one quarter of the hundreds of
kids I spoke to had head of Linux - almost all had heard of Firefox. It
was an easy sell.

OLPC units were pretty popular though they were very buggy and pain to
get working ;)
