[Linux-aus] Request for Linux Desktop specialist for consulting exercise

Hi All,

 

Geoff Drury contacted me and is after someone to help evaluate responses
to a Government RFT for Linux desktops.  I can't really apply because
I'm too closely affiliated with the vendors who responded.  If anyone is
interested, contact Geoff directly.

 

 

Message from Geoff: 

 

"We are on a small panel of suppliers of IT staff to a government
department in Sydney. We have been asked to introduce an independent
consultant who is very technical and can assess proposals and processes
for migrating this large network of users to open systems. The
consultant will monitor an external supplier of Linux desk top or thin
client Linux systems. The consultant will report to the IT
Infrastructure Manager in a full time role on site initially for 3
months.
