I have asked, but their policy is to provide a discount for speakers,
rather than a full fee waiver. The conference organiser asked that if I
can't make it due to cost to let them know ASAP, so they can give the
speaking slot to someone else.

Conf rego fees are as follows.

Early Bird - NON-MEMBER (Before 28 JULY 06) / AUD$660.00
Full Registration - MEMBER (After 29 JULY 06) / AUD$660.00
Full Registration - NON-MEMBER (After 29 JUL) / AUD$770.00
Speakers / AUD$495.00
Full Time Students (Identification required) / AUD$330.00
