Hi all,
below are some details of a conference on Copyright, Fair Use, Kazaa and
Free Trade Agreements. It looks very interesting! It is a little pricey
(~$800 for two days), but as it may be interesting for some, I've forwarded
it on.

The Australian Copyright sector¹s major biennial conference, to be opened
by the Hon Philip Ruddock, Attorney General, with a keynote address on the
globalisation of copyright by Justice Robin Jacob from the UK. Session
topics include: Impact of digital technologies on global copyright
developments; Public licensing, copyright commons, open source;
Technological challenges to creators and practitioners; Navigating the
developing jurisprudence; Indigenous IP update; Regional developments and
free trade agreements. Speakers include experts from WIPO, Centre for
Cyberspace Law & Technology, IATSIS, DFAT, CAL, Melbourne University, the
