I think this is best option for the moment. Adding a second mail call is
a minor change and won't affect the db whereas upgrading from postgres
(as I understand it is hosted now) to MySQL5 could cause issues.

Yes I sent through three or four patches, that fixed various issues
including the gender select issue, various date time formatting and so
on. To be honest, I don't think it is ready for use in it's current form
as most of what I fixed were issues in the original version as well.
