[Linux-aus] Constitution - Draft II !

Hi all,

After another gruelling constitution session and another draft of
Proposed changes for your reading pleasure.

We will be presenting the constitution in an SGM immediately prior to
the AGM at LCA2004 (Adelaide), formal notices to come out soon. The
changes attempt to modernise the organisation and how it can do things
while ensuring that responsibilities are met, and that good precedences
are set. Unfortunately it can not be voted on electronically as the
current constitution requires "a show of hands" for decisions. Check it
out, and thanks for the feedback so far, it has been great! Many thanks
specifically to David Lloyd who gave up an evening to help sort out the
details. It will be voted on by the membership, and we have an online
membership process (that is in line with the current constitution) that
will be up and online again very soon.
