I'm sure you're not suggesting this, but I don't think LCA should ever
go anywhere near those prices.  I've always been a self-funded hobbyist,
and once accommodation and flights are included, there's just no way I 
could afford conferences priced like that (and I think I'm better off
financially than many attendees!)
