If your users are on Linux and your server has sshd running, type this 
into Konqueror, subbing valid user and host names where appropriate:

    fish://user@name.of.host/

If not, perhaps something like WebDav would turn the trick. If they're 
using MS-Windows over a LAN (not WAN), Samba will expose their home 
directories (and anything else you specify) to Windows Explorer.
