Ok, spoke to Luke O'Brien to runs Deakin events today.
Costa Hall holds 800, and would seat 600 comfortably for a plenary session.
There are other lecture theatres on campus that would hold

in addition to Costa Hall, plus there are also smaller spaces

We would need to start planning dates for 2014 very shortly though.

So, long story short we could do it at Deakin Waterfront.
