Hi all!

Most of us probably don't know much about the US Free Trade Agreement's
Intellectual Property chapter. Unfortunately, it contains much we
Free/Open Source people should fear, much along the lines of the recent
US experiences.

Why is this relevant to "lca-announce"? Anti-circumvention clauses may
affect what can be presented at future LCAs. Many Open-Source projects
may cease to exist if US-stype software patents become widespread in
Australia.

We have been far too quiet, and now we're paying.

Linux Australia have a "how to help" web page with links to all sorts of
relevant resources.

One simple and easy way to help is to sign the on-line petition:

Thankyou,

Michael...
