Job title: Linux (Ubunut / Debian) Systems Administrator
Job description: Kanji it Pty ltd is looking to expand their team of Linux Systems administrators to provide support and continuously improve their fleet of Linux systems spanning multiple countries and continents. Come join a team who loves to develop dynamic solutions to business problems and explore technologies to ensure that solutions work for the business. 
Day to day activities include,
- Extending reliability and resilience of the technology solutions provided to our customers
- Working with code teams to streamline deployment and resilience of the solution
- Working to reduce technology debt in the organisation by designing and developing deployment strategies that allow for automation
- Developing scripts for automation using tools like ansible to create repeatable, scalable infrastructure
- Create monitoring integration and scripts to recover after faults
- Work with virtualisation technologies, containerisation systems and San storage to provide services to the organisation
- Rectify network and routing issues, and implement changes to branch network structures using our software defined routing system
- Ensure business continuity through backup, replication, and monitoring  
Required skills.
- Great understanding of Linux with a preference for experience Debian / Ubuntu based systems, experience with orchestration systems, building packages, and performance tuning is a bonus
- Experience with virtualisation technologies, including VMware, Hyper-V and other technologies such as Proxmox, Xen or others.
- Experience with container technologies such as docker and snaps.
- Experience with storage technologies, including NFS, iSCSI, ZFS, snapshots and platforms such as NetApp, and TrueNas
- Understand IP addressing, routing, and firewalling. Experience with BGP, OSPF and Iptables is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience with common applications such as Samba, Apache / Nginx, MySQL, and PostgreSQL (a good understanding of performance management with these tools is a bonus),
- Work in a ticketing system (like Jira) to record changes and ensure that commitments are completed and communicated accordingly.  
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Perform a pre-employment medical exam
- Provide evidence of the right to work in Australia
- Undergo a Police Check
- Provide evidence of vaccination against COVID-19
