Job description: Permanent Full-Time Position: Software Engineer
About the Role
The Industrial Sciences Group (ISG) is an applied research company which specialises in industrial analytics for complex engineering and commercial projects. We are based in North Sydney, NSW.
We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in a permanent full-time position at ISG's North Sydney office. The role will involve scientific computing to solve real-world problems within the GPS/GNSS positioning field.
Qualifications
• Graduate or post-graduate degree in Computer Science or similar. Final year students may also be considered.
• Experience with C/C++ software development
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience in scientific programming and numerical algorithm development
• Experience in, or ability to quickly acquire, an understanding of the architecture of large software projects
• Ability to design high-level software architecture of standalone programs
• Fluency in English
Bonus if you have knowledge of:
• Kalman filter estimation
• Geodesy and GPS/GNSS theory
• Agile workflows (e.g. Jira)
