Job description: IOR is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to assist in the ongoing maintenance of our HyDip Fuel Management infrastructure to be based in our Brisbane office. HyDip is cloud based and uses a custom system stack based on Linux/Python/Django. We write our own code, but we build the hardware too - while you will be principally managing server infrastructure, opportunities also exist to manage Linux embedded systems.  
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following technical capability:
* Ubuntu Linux - very high standard
* Amazon Web Services including RDS Aurora, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch - very high standard
* Systems architecture – high standard
* Ansible - functional standard
* Shell scripting - Bash - functional standard
* Experience with security audits
* Azure infrastructure and security (this is not a Windows role).
* Some understanding of Python language (this is not a development role)
The HyDip system is required to operate 24/7 with a very with high level of reliability. This requires some out of hours work for scheduling firmware and software releases or to promptly attend to service degradation.  As part of a high-performance team dedicated to supporting its customers, you will be working with software engineers and mobile developers, hardware engineers and workshop staff.

We service our customers through a Nationwide network of fuel depots, 24/7 unmanned diesel truck stops and an aviation refuelling network.
