Java Developer - preferably with experience in spring framework or another  
enterprise system

An opportunity for a dynamic individual to work in a scientific environment,  
within an innovative team.

Flexible employer - role may be based in Sydney or Maitland by negotiation.
Temporary full-time role (up to 30 June 2017)
Total Remuneration Package: Package up to $107,997 includes salary ($88,015 -  
$97,426), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About The Role
In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the GSNSW  
online information systems, including spatial and a-spatial databases and  
document management systems residing in the AWS cloud. You will improve  
accessibility of information through the use of integrate QA/QC processes,  
interoperability standards/protocols and leading edge technologies to support  
the provision of geological data to the mining/exploration industry,  
government and community.

About You
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate on  
multiple technical projects across our Department. You will have demonstrated  
knowledge and experience in enterprise Java development (eg. spring  
framework) and web programming languages (eg. php, javascript) and the  
ability to learn new languages and skills as required.  You will apply your  
experience to maintaining and developing Alfresco, Geoserver and SOLR  
systems.

To be successful you will also have:
Linux administration skills (eg. Ubuntu).
Experience with open source software.
