NICTA (National ICT Australia Ltd) is Australia’s Information and  
Communications Technology Research Centre of Excellence. We pursue  
high-impact research excellence and, through application of this research,  
create national benefit and wealth for Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Linux administrator to join our IT team  
immediately, in either Sydney or Canberra.

You would be responsible for a leading technical position in our IT  
Technology team, working with an advanced IT stack including SAN  
technologies, virtualisation, a variety of Linux installations providing  
various services, source code repositories, and more.

Your efforts will contribute to the support of world leading ICT researchers  
by establishing, testing and operating computing infrastructure that will  
enable leading edge research.

A typical work day at NICTA could involve development of a major project or  
two, debugging programming code, troubleshooting web server performance,  
tuning a LDAP query, deploying a new server or attending a research seminar  
(or giving a seminar).
