Due to continued growth,  our client has 2 roles for Network Engineers; one  
more Junior, the other Senior  The roles are varied and involve the design,  
build, administration, support and maintenance of an environment to support  
secure, robust, scalable e-business solutions.  As part of a larger team, you  
will contribute to the 24x7 on-call roster for hosted systems.  The more  
senior role will provide team support and mentoring.

The company is a rapidly growing, global company in Brisbane CBD.  Due to

Key Skills:

You will need experience in a systems engineering/administration role  
including design, development, maintenance and ongoing support of hosted  
software and hardware configurations using web technologies in production  
environments.
Linux Systems Administration – Monitoring, Clustering, Scripting and  
Automation, Storage
Application Deployment and Hosting – Preferably Apache, Java, Tomcat,  
Oracle, SOA
Security Administration – System Hardening, Event/Log Analysis, IDS/IPS  
Systems
Change Control – System Patching, Procedures, Peer Reviews and Risk  
Assessment

Any of the following are also highly desirable:

Experience in web technologies and web hosting for financial systems,  
knowledge of ISO8583/AS2805 handling or PCI DSS requirements
Network Troubleshooting Knowledge – Routing, Switching, Firewalls, SSL
Strong virtualisation experience, specifically in VMware
Strong understanding of iSCSI storage technologies and SAN administration.
Strong understanding of system and application monitoring solutions,  
specifically Hyperic
Experience with F5 BigIP load balancers and Web Application Firewalls.
