AUSWEB is one of the leading Shared, Virtual & Dedicated Server web hosting  
providers in Sydney/Australia. We have just expanded our business with a new  
office in Paddington and we are looking for a highly motivated and  
enthusiastic IT all rounder to join our core team and continue our growth in  
the web hosting & domain market.

Role: Technical Support – Full Time – Paddington

Primary Duties:

Technical support for web hosting customers via Telephone and Online Support  
Helpdesk
Customer Sales Support for potential new Web Hosting and Virtual/Dedicated  
Server customers
Working with web hosting control panels such as cPanel/WHM & Plesk for web  
hosting customers
Troubleshooting problems within a webhosting environment, Database/Mail/DNS  
issues etc.
Online SEO, networking & presence, news/blog/documentation and tutorial  
writing
Skills required:

Excellent communication skills and presentation both written and verbal,  
customer service skills a priority!
Ability to relate complex issues in simple terms for customers with limited  
technical knowledge
Can communicate effectively within a team and follow through with a range of  
duties simultaneously
Keen interest in websites & hosting, experience with hosting control panels  
such as cPanel/WHM, Plesk or otherwise. Some knowledge of HTML/CSS and common  
PHP/MySQL scripts & standards etc.
Basic understanding of networking & hosting principles/standards and ability  
to quickly learn, identify & troubleshoot problems
Self-motivation & willingness to learn, can show initiative and show follow  
through & results
Additional Skills favoured:

Advanced knowledge of popular PHP/MySQL scripts & tools eg. WordPress, Joomla  
and E-Commerce shopping carts etc. web design/development & SEO skills.
Linux experience from CentOS/RedHat to Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora etc. intermediate  
to advanced
Virtualisation experience – XEN, OpenVZ/Virtuozzo, VMware ESX/vSphere  
highly regarded.
Being an active participant in relevant online communities for web hosting &  
IT eg. web hosting design & development or scripting communities & forums

Role Requirements:
Must be an Australian citizen or resident
Must live within Sydney/Australia
Location: Paddington
Salary: Full-Time salary – 3 Month Trial to start
