PHP Software Engineer, Contract

SGI is a leading supplier of Linux solutions in the HPC and storage areas with products utilizing IA64 and x86_64 processors.

The Melbourne team is a group of approximately 25 developers with R&D activities in file systems (XFS, NFS, Samba), Web-based management tools (PHP/Perl/C), and QA.

We have a new opportunity for a short term contract position (3 months with possibility of extension) in the following area:

	* Web-based storage-appliance monitoring & management

This position would be well suited to a highly motivated individual with a passion for quality and an interest in building best-of-breed Linux-based products.

The successful candidate should:

	* have a strong Linux/UNIX development background
	* have extensive experience with PHP development
	* have excellent communications skills
	* be a team player
	* work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Exposure to C/C++/Perl and/or shell would be highly regarded.
