Linux boffin with excellent sy, Part Time

CALYX is looking for an informal hourly "on demand" arrangement with
a Linux boffin who loves open source.

CALYX Information Essentials provides information management services
to the enterprise, specialising in the areas of collections management
and librarianship.

Our principal application and the one you would be initially involved
with is Koha <www.koha.org> running under Linux vserver.

We also plan future applications and systems beyond Koha that
provide for green computing, enterprise collaboration, data
migration and systems rebuilding.

Skillset:

(*) Linux/debian
(*) Linux vserver
(*) LAMP
(*) LTSP
(*) FOSS distribution and installation methodology
(*) Xen desirable but not required

Requirements for our projects:

(*) open mind, ability to convey knowledge and mentor as required
(*) demonstrated ability in written and oral communications
(*) self-starter with a desire to self-educate and share knowledge
(*) first task: completing and perfecting a Linux vserver install

Working Arrangements:

(*) telecomputing, very little onsite
(*) occasional meetings at inner Sydney / North Shore
(*) interacting with mature experienced librarians and computing
    analysts, system admins and webmasters
(*) possibility of further business involvement if desired
