Web Developer (North Sydney)

Modus Corporation is an interactive agency. In addition to creative
design and marketing, we produce sophisticated web applications and
websites.

We are looking for a skilled, highly motivated self-starter who can
actively solve problems and produce top-quality work under pressure to
join a team of like minded people.

Core duties involve development and maintenance of a wide range of
websites and online applications for our client base, using our
in-house framework and processes.

The successful applicant will have at a minimum

- the ability to analyse a given problem and produce a workable solution
- a high level of finish and attention to detail
- the ability to work to established standards and procedures
- the ability to drive every job to completion
- excellent written and verbal communication skills

- intermediate to advanced level php and mysql skills
- the ability to hand-code w3c compliant html and css
- familiarity with javascript
- basic photoshop skills
- familiarity with the Linux shell environment

We require demonstrated ability and samples of previous work in the
above. The interview will include a skills test.

We want someone who lives and breathes computers and web development
and is excited by and follows on-going developments in the field.

These skills are also highly desirable but are not mandatory

- graphic design skills
- advanced flash
- Linux system administration
- digital video production
