Developer Required

for Satellite and Wireless Communications Projects


URSYS provides high quality industrial and commercial networks to remote locations, with a speciality in private satellite networks for industrial telemetry.
 We provide private VSAT carrier services using both our own and third party satellite hubs.  URSYS also produce our own SkyWire range of satellite routers and Control Room concentrator equipment.

URSYS requires a Linux developer to join the team.  The work includes ongoing development of our SkyWire line of Linux based routers.  


To qualify you must have at least a University undergraduate degree with strong computing science or related IT components, and at least 2 years experience
in a professional TCP/IP networking role.  Relevant industry qualifications are an advantage.  We are particularly interested in people with professional
Linux networking experience.  Alternatively significant contribution to the open source community may be considered.
 

A strong knowledge of the Linux operating system, in-depth TCP/IP networking skills as well as competency in C, perl, shell and the usual scripting tools is highly desirable.


URSYS is located in Burwood - Sydney.  A close knit team of 16 staff work in an energetic enterprise which is making significant contributions to the industrial
and commercial landscape of rural Australia.
