An excellent opportunity exists, for an experienced Linux Technical Engineer! Being a proficient IT solution company, it places a strong emphasis on Enterprise Technology Audits and Infrastructure Analysis. This role is a contract or permanent position. 

This amazing role will require you to utilise your experience with installing and maintaining Linux enterprise systems.

As a Linux Technical Engineer you will be working with professional engineers with the highest calibre. Your first priority will be to ensure the best solution to your customers.


Ideally you would experience working with:

• Basic scripting skills (Bash, PHP, Perl)
• Apache/Squid
• PostgreSQL/MySQL
• OpenLDAP
• Internet security and firewall 
• Postfix
• Kick-start scripting / RPM building

You will be working with companies ranging from multinationals and small enterprises. As a Linux expert you will expected to deliver exceptional services to all customer IT needs. 
In this role, you will be responsible for managing high security networks, firewalls, new infrastructure, reconfiguring managed routers and maintaining internet security. You will be expected to have good and diverse technical Linux knowledge.

To be successful in the role you must have:

• At least 3 years commercial experience in Linux
• Red Hat/ Fedora or equivalent. 
• LPI, RHCT or RHCE certification would be highly advantageous. 
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills
• Self motivated and willing to own and solve issues 
• Able to understand customers needs
