Linux System Administrator, Full Time

A position has become available on the Internet System Administration team for a Linux System Administrator. This role is for a person who has proven programming experience in this environment, and who wishes to develop their skills as a Linux solutions integrator.

The right person will have good knowledge in:

RedHat Linux, over 3 years experience
Demonstratable programming concepts and skills
Knowledge in Perl, PHP, C and Bash Security
Firewalling of Linux
Monitoring of Linux
Intel hardware SCSI hardware
Detailed understanding of TCP/IP
Experience with Bind, Apache, Sendmail

The right person will responsible for/to:

Maintain and develop security and monitoring procedures
Assist System Administration team members
Special projects integrating Linux solutions
Act as third level support for Helpdesk issues
Timely response to support email
Liaise with corporate customers
Other varied system administration tasks

Salary is $45k+ negotiable.
