Linux Systems Administrator, Full Time

An excellent opportunity exists within this Software House for an experienced Linux System Administrator.

The role involves maintenance and Administration of the Linux system from the ground up, and you will be responsible for running and maintaining the servers and networks, configuration of large storage systems and interfacing with Windows. Also, some programming is involved.

Ideally you will be an experienced Linux Systems Administrator with about 3 or more years industry experience. You will be experienced with Linux Administration, recovery and backups, high volume web servers and have the ability to tune, configure and debug. The following technical skills are required:

Linux (Debian), Perl (used heavily), Unix Shell Scripting, C, PHP, C++ (some), MySQL and Postgres, TCP/IP networks, Apache Web Server, and some specialist Cisco equipment. 

Previous practical experience working within an ISP as a System Administrator would be desirable. You will also need to be able to start and hit the ground running.
