[Grants] Indigenous Womens Possum Skin Cloak Making Workshops - grant application decision

Dear Pauline

As previously advised, the Linux Australia Council considered your grant
application for the Online Indigenous Womens Possum Skin Cloak Making
Workshops at its meeting tonight.  We thank you for taking the time to
formulate and submit the application.  Unfortunately your application was
unsuccessful on this occasion.

The majority of the concern about the proposal mirrored what was expressed
by a member on the Grants list: an apparent lack of connection with Open
Source technology and the Open Source community in general.  Questions in
relation to this were raised on list during the consultation period but they
were not addressed.  Ultimately, while council agreed that the activity was
clearly worthwhile, in its present form it does not fulfil the requirements
for a Linux Australia grant as outlined in the guideline document.
