Have noticed something of a reluctance before the web-conference starts (hopefully only my machine). Flounder meetings are deliberately less formal than most meetings so you are free to ask for advice about free software for anti-spam at any meeting. We have yet to plan the next meeting, but there will definitely be time for asking questions about random free software including SpamAssassin. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/ From NZLUG at etelligence.info Sun May 7 07:46:44 2023 From: NZLUG at etelligence.info (DL Neil) Date: Sun, 7 May 2023 09:46:44 +1200 Subject: [Flounder] OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone Message-ID: OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone by Brad Linder05/06/2023 1 Comment on OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone Folks have been using Raspberry Pi computers to build smartphones and other mobile devices for almost as long as Raspberry Pi hardware has been around. But developer Evan Robinson?s new OURphone is a new build that does an impressive job of balancing features, price, and open source design. It?s kind of chunky though. The OURphone combines a Raspberry Pi 3 with a 4 inch touchscreen display, a 4G modem, and a case that?s cut from a sheet of plywood. The total cost of parts is around $200, although the designs could be adapted to add a better display, faster processor or other upgrades... https://liliputing.com/ourphone-is-a-diy-raspberry-pi-powered-linux-smartphone/ -- Regards =dn From yifei at zhan.science Thu May 11 18:02:32 2023 From: yifei at zhan.science (yifei at zhan.science) Date: Thu, 11 May 2023 08:02:32 +0000 Subject: [Flounder] OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <9601562d87baa6fa1d5e26030b6388b4@zhan.science> May 6, 2023 9:46 PM, "DL Neil via Flounder" wrote: > OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone > by Brad Linder05/06/2023 > 1 Comment on OURphone is a DIY Raspberry Pi-powered Linux smartphone > > Folks have been using Raspberry Pi computers to build smartphones and > other mobile devices for almost as long as Raspberry Pi hardware has > been around. I tried to build something similar few years ago, but eventually give up due to the fact that I can't get any battery to work reliably :( > > https://liliputing.com/ourphone-is-a-diy-raspberry-pi-powered-linux-smartphone > > -- > Regards =dn > _______________________________________________ > Flounder mailing list > Flounder at lists.linux.org.au > http://lists.linux.org.au/mailman/listinfo/flounder From dwight at wwwalker.com.au Sun May 7 00:08:22 2023 From: dwight at wwwalker.com.au (Dwight Walker) Date: Sat, 06 May 2023 14:08:22 -0000 Subject: [Flounder] Flounder discussions and SpamAssassin In-Reply-To: <19635648.sWSEgdgrri@xev> References: <19635648.sWSEgdgrri@xev> Message-ID: <179ffc64dade8e5983e25022f2d20867.squirrel@wwwalker.com.au> Russell Thanks for accommodating me on the road. It was a very good session via my mobile phone watching and interacting with webinar on Chrome. Thanks for emails you sent of logs from that session. My phone battery went flat later. I had to get to a bus stop to catch a train to get home or be stuck in middle of nowhere so used last bit of battery to use Translink app to find best route home and I got home OK.
