So the next meeting will be the first Saturday next month. I will make a formal announcement after we have the details sorted out. anti spam game development Comparison: multiple threads in a single CPU, or multiple CPUs on a single board? The above were 3 topics suggested for future meetings. The first one seems like the best for the next meeting. I will setup a hands-on training session for running Postfix with anti-spam and Andrew and I will talk about anti-spam. Andrew does that fit with your schedule? For game development, that's your thing Andrew, when would be a good day for that? June meeting? DL Neil the comparison of CPU cores is your idea, how much of this do you want to present yourself? I can contribute to this, the blog posts I gave links to aren't my only research into this issue. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/ From andrew at sericyb.com.au Sat Apr 1 16:57:53 2023 From: andrew at sericyb.com.au (Andrew Pam) Date: Sat, 1 Apr 2023 16:57:53 +1100 Subject: [Flounder] next meeting In-Reply-To: <2809022.Y6S9NjorxK@xev> References: <2809022.Y6S9NjorxK@xev> Message-ID: On 1/4/23 15:51, Russell Coker wrote: > anti spam > game development > Comparison: multiple threads in a single CPU, or multiple CPUs on a single > board? > > The above were 3 topics suggested for future meetings. Apart from the idea that British pubs will be allowed to stay open longer over that weekend, I can't imagine that anything (of note) will be happening in the UK, at the time FLOunder meets. The first page of web-search hits was full of articles mentioning that New Zealanders will not be granted an extra public-holiday to recognise the occasion. Nothing else shouted at me or commanded my fealty. Is there a formal schedule of events for Australians? Given that our Saturday(s) is/are ahead of the Coronation itself, should we (instead of FLOunder) be doing anything (official) before-hand? Could always advertise the May meeting as a Coronation event: - Ubuntu users crown snap over flatpak - systemd over init - wayland over x - pipewire over jack (etc) -- Regards =dn From russell at coker.com.au Sat Apr 29 18:39:55 2023 From: russell at coker.com.au (Russell Coker) Date: Sat, 29 Apr 2023 18:39:55 +1000 Subject: [Flounder] Flounder meeting 6th May Message-ID: <5669628.1IzOArtZ34@xev> https://flounder.linux.org.au/events/flounder-may-2023-linux-nokia-n900-anti-spam/ The next Flounder meeting will be on the 6th of May at 1PM Melbourne time (03:00 UTC).
