Hey all,

I thought this was important for all to see...

Well said. :)

I have changed all lists to reply to lists now. :)

The email footer has been changed again to include a web link. Hope it works.

Cheers,

None of which made it to the list. Replying privately to public discussions
is bad, m'kay? The point of a list like this is to *share* information.
Private replies not only deny other people the benefit of your wisdom, they
deny *you* the benefit of other peoples' wisdom. People who may be prompted
to expand on or correct what you have to say.

It also gives the wrong impression about the list itself. Anyone looking at
the archives will easily get the impression that it is near enough to dead.
They will see people asking questions and getting few or no public replies,
which tends to discourage them from using it as a resource themselves.

A large part of the problem is that the list is configured to direct replies
to the poster rather than to the list. I know that there's a prejudice
against doing that, but it's bogus and simply discourages active
participation in public discussions.
