OS/2 is/was a great operating system, but even if IBM gives away copious
free copies, there is still the killer question of support.

The problem with OS/2 was that everything could only be done one way and
exactly that way. So if you didn't know that way, it was very
frustrating.

Ten years ago there was "free" and very good support through Fidonet and
the Internet from OS/2 developers and administrators. But these people
have now moved on to earn livings elsewhere. So support is very limited.
