Although I have not personally dealt with Chinese Government organisations I do have three business contacts who have. They are all very successfull business people with significant businesses. Two of the three were severely burned by their Chinese foray and lost millions in investment and resources. The third attributed part of his success to: - avoiding setting up facilities in China directly. - developing strong local (Chinese) importer relationships. - manufacturing for China from his factories elsewhere in Asia. Their advice when considering any dealings with Chinese organisations was to get the best business advice you could from those successfully doing business with Chinese organisations and to maintain a strong though arms length business relationship i.e. develop a strong relationship with a Chinese conterpart, but leave the Chinese side of things to the Chinese. Remember the Chinese Government and most Chinese organisations don't really respect IP, licensing, etcl. Even where they do have laws, their enforcement is virtually non-existent. --
