The current membership of Linux Australia amounts to the members of the
previous committee and the attendees of linux.conf.au. A number of those
attendees participated in the elections held at the AGM. No, it was not
necessarily the best way of doing it. No, there wasn't a lot of information
available beforehand. Yes, there were a lot of people there who were not
entirely pleased with it.

That said, LA now has a larger membership that it has ever had before, and
has had the most open election than it has ever had before.

This is a great start, and I know that the current committee understand the
importance of building on it.
